Somerset Council's consultation on Biodiversity Net Gain is now live until 4 December '23. This is a new duty for local government, which needs to define policies on their approach to biodiversity by early next year - Somerset Council's policy focusses upon planning and biodiversity where, for new developments, biodiversity net gain will be the priority consideration.
